| Description | Aoni Onsen hot springs is tucked in a remote mountain area next to a rushing stream and waterfall. All of the heat and lighting is provided by kerosene hurricane-style lamps and kerosene heaters. There are both indoor and outdoor baths of different temperatures and the views from all baths are exquisite. There is almost no electricity and no Wi-Fi. Getting to this place can be difficult, however it’s well worth the effort. The scenery is breathtaking during winter. |
