Sansha Taisai Festival

Description	Before the Sansha Taisai festival begins, parade participants and families members gather to take photos and get ready for the event. Festival goers are also allowed to get up close to view the beautifully detailed floats. The tigers costumes are part of the Toramai, a traditional tiger dance. It is believed that if the tiger bites your head, it is good luck. The Sansha Taisai festival is Hachinohe’s largest summer festival that occurs July 31st through August 4th.
