Aoike (Blue Lake) of Juniko

| Description | This special and unique lake is the most popular lake among Juniko (twelve lakes). It is called “Aoike” (blue lake). When the sun goes down, it appears an azure blue color because of a high transparency to the water. While the shade of blue is darker in the fall, combined with the fall leaves it creates a perfect fall atmosphere. After November, the lakes do not reopen until the spring. |
